Orange Area’s leading police articles transformed hands on Monday, as Todd Spitzer was vowed in as area lawyer and Don Barnes ascended to become sheriff.

Spitzer, that left the region’s board of managers for his brand-new placement, changes 20-year incumbent Tony Rackauckas as the area’s leading district attorney. Spitzer claims he’ll bring large-scale reform to the district attorney’s workplace, which has been filled with dispute over the last few years for its “win whatsoever costs” mentality.

Barnes, a 30-year Orange Area constable’s expert, has actually been the general public face of the division for over a year and also won political election as the hand-picked follower to retiring Sheriff Sandra Hutchens. Barnes said he wants to be a bridge in between the public and the department.
